Winter League Information and Dates

  • Each team match consists of 2 singles and 3 doubles matches (except at the 2.0, 2.5, and 5.0  levels where a team match consists of 1 singles and 2 doubles).
  • The playing levels offered are 2.0 (Women's Only), 2.5, 3.0, 3.5, 3.75, 4.0, 4.5, and 5.0.  The 3.75 level is a level designed for players with a rating between 3.51 and 3.75 who do not feel competitive at the 4.0 level.  A list of summer 3.75 eligible players is on the USTA Atlanta website
  • Team registration is open March 20 - May 2 on Tennislink (http://national.usta.com).  Tennislink will not allow for late team registrations.  Players can be added to teams that have already been established through midnight before the last match of the regular season.  For step-by-step Tennislink instructions click here
  • City Champions will be invited to the USTA Georgia State Championships in May 2009.

Team Requirements

  • Teams must provide two courts of the same surface at their location.  All facilities must be located in Cobb, Dekalb, Fulton, Gwinnett, or Forsyth County.  Captains at a new facility should contact USTA Atlanta (770-416-4333 or admin@ustaatlanta.com) to verify your facility is eligible for the USTA League program. The following information is required:  facility name, address, number of courts, and directions from I-285.  The team can not register until the facility is processed.
  • Teams must have a minimum of 8 eligible players registered by the deadline (or 5 for levels 2.0, 2.5, and 5.0.) Teams must play at the level of the highest rated player on the team.  USTA Atlanta recommends that at least 75% of the team members be at the playing level.  If you need assistance finding additional players, please submit your team information on our "Find a Team" section of our web site (www.ustaatlanta.com) or call 770-416-4333.  USTA Atlanta can provide contact information to captains for players who are looking for teams.
